Volunteer at Historic WACO Airfield
Know how to sling a hammer? Are you good at artwork? Good at organizing? No special talents? Young or "seasoned to perfection?" YOU are the person we need!
Running a museum requires many people with many different skills! You don't need to know one end of an airplane from the other... we still need your unique talents and knowledge to help with the many different events we have through out the year!

Following are just a few of our "dire need" volunteer positions:
- Museum Docents -- work during the hours the Museum is open, watching the museum, and answering questions for museum visitors (We can teach you the answers!)
- Admin Volunteers -- we have thousands of documents and photos in our archives and we need help getting them scanned, cataloged, and filed. We also need help with preparing our newsletter and mailings to our members.
- Grounds Maintenance -- love to be outside digging in the flower beds? We can always use help keeping the weeds down and the flowers growing!
- Event Volunteer -- our largest event is our Annual Fly-in! We need lots of people to help with these events. Airplane savvy and not so airplane savvy people are needed to help with everything from working the entrance booth, helping with parking, working the information booths, etc! Come join us! It is a lot of fun!
- Exhibits Volunteer -- we change our feature exhibits a couple times a year and need help designing and building the new exhibits! We always welcome a fresh set eyes and new ideas!
- Retired Teachers & Pilots - to teach in our Learning Center Programs.
These are just a few of the types of volunteers we need to help out at the museum. So as you can see -- you don't need to know anything about Waco biplanes or airplanes to be one of our greatest assets!!
