2024 ECLIPSE AT WACO!

Miami County will experience a total solar eclipse when the moon passes between the Sun and Earth on Monday, April 8th, 2024, between 1:53 pm and 4:25 pm. We will be in the path of totality for 3 minutes and 45 seconds with maximum totality at 3:11 pm.

WACO is located in Troy, OH at exit 69 on Highway 75, which is just 7 miles north of the Hwy 70/ Hwy 75 interchange near Dayton, Ohio. Look for the brown sign. At exit 69, it is a straight shot (2 miles to the north) on the right-hand side.

If you are driving, and plan to stay in your car, tent camp, or bring a camper, you will be directed to the Campground Area. Camping check-in opens Friday, April 5th,at 4 pm and requires a checkout no later than Tuesday, April 9th by 11 am. There is a minimum charge for a 2-night stay for camping.

WACO Field sits right on the Great Miami River Recreational Trail. WACO is central to downtown Troy and downtown Tipp City. Let us be your hub for all activities.

Flying is a great way to travel for the eclipse because you bypass the congested highways and we have parking for 100 aircraft. Our identifier is 1WF and sits right under the shelf of Dayton (KDAY) airspace. Our grass strip is 2400 feet long and we offer a museum of the WACO biplanes for our aviation enthusiasts. Better yet, take a ride in one!
