AVIATION LECTURE SERIES PRESENTS:

“Women in Aviation during WWII”
presented by Bill Albers, WWII Aviation Historian

Thursday, April 14, 2022: Doors open at 6:30PM, presentation starts at 7:00PM

During World War II women were recruited to be aviators. In the US and Great Britain, they served as non-combat ferrying pilots and in some countries they performed in combat. The lecture will cover their experiences and contributions to the war efforts and give them recognition for their service performed. The WASPs were part of the group of 1100 women aviators who delivered 12,652 airplanes between September 1942 and December 1944.

This lecture is free and open to the public; donations to WACO Air Museum are gladly accepted. Lectures are held in the Willis Wing of the WACO Air Museum at 1865 South County Road 25A in Troy, OH. Doors open at 6:30 and the program begins at 7 p.m. Programs are scheduled to last one hour with questions to follow.  For questions, please call 937-335-9226 or visit www.wacoairmuseum.org.
