WACO Aviation Summer Camp
WACO Air Museum and Aviation Learning Center

9 am—2 pm
Students will complete a 5 day course of study which takes them through the history, theory and science of aviation, from lighter than air flight to, manned flight in aircraft to rockets and the space pro-gram. Certified FAA pilots will instruct students in the basics of flight.
Campers will build and fly several models that include gliders, kites, hot air balloons, paper rockets, rubber band powered airplanes, 2-liter bottle rockets, and more! They will also fly a radio-controlled air-planes, quad-copters, and spend time in simulator lab. Campers will have the option to fly in a full-scale airplane!
Additionally, guest speakers will be present at camp to introduce campers to potential careers in aviation.
This camp is designed for 5th-8th grade students. Bring your own lunch. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please call the office (937-335-9226) for more information about the scholarship program.
Registration for Aviation Summer Camp requires:
1) A completed Registration/Permission Form (downloadable below) either mailed to WACO Air Museum or email to firstname.lastname@example.org AND,
2) Payment of $325 (see below)
